This unprecedented situation has lead to Kings Ningaloo Reef Tours making an unprecedented decision. The recent announcement to close the WA border and to cancel non-essential domestic travel has resulted in the heart breaking decision to suspend all tours for April 2020. We have been in business for over 30 years taking people to swim with Whale sharks on Ningaloo Reef, this will be the first time in our history that we won’t be starting our season as scheduled. We have always maintained that the safety of our passengers and crew is paramount to us. This decision, while having a major affect on our business and our staff will hopefully assist in flattening the curve and minimising the spread. We are in full support of the government in their decision to do what is necessary to contain the virus.
All passengers that have current bookings for April will be contacted in the coming days and refunds will be provided. Please be patient with us as there is just one Queen in the office at this time and she will be systematically working through bookings in date order. At this time we are working month to month as the situation is rapidly changing. We are monitoring the updates provided by the Australian Dept of Health and as further recommendations are made, business decisions will be continually assessed for the rest of our season.
For those with future bookings that are affected by the border closure, we ask that you please send your request for cancellation in writing to info@kingsningalooreeftours.com.au. You will receive a confirmation email and copy of your refund receipt when processed. Again we request your patience and understanding as we work through the high volume of calls and emails we are currently receiving.
We will keep you updated as to decisions regarding future tours. While we understand that there is a level of anxiety being experienced by our community and across the country we would like to remind everyone that nothing lasts forever, this too shall pass. We just need to work together to do what we can to support each other. While our business and many others are taking steps to reduce services or temporarily close, we will be here waiting to welcome you again with open arms when this is all over.
