Here’s everything you need to know about your day:

Early Start, Big Adventure

Your day begins bright and early! By 7:30 AM, our friendly team will pick you up from your Exmouth accommodation (hotel and caravan park). From there, we’ll set out on a scenic drive to the Tantabiddi Boat Ramp, with the anticipation of the day ahead building as we travel. The return journey? Well, that depends on the magic of the ocean! Tours usually wrap up between 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM, but the ocean sets the schedule – and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

The Journey to the Reef

The excitement kicks off the moment you step onto our bus. Along the way, our passionate crew will share stories and insights about Exmouth, the Cape Range National Park, and the incredible Ningaloo Reef ecosystem. Keep your eyes peeled – you might spot kangaroos, emus, or even a dingo!

When we reach the boat ramp, a quick tender ride will transport you to our purpose-built luxury vessel, the Magellan. Once on board, you’ll meet the rest of the crew, gear up with snorkelling equipment and receive a safety briefing. The turquoise waters surrounding you will only hint at the wonders waiting below the surface.

First Snorkel: Dive into another World

We’ll generally start the day with a snorkel on the Ningaloo Reef itself. The coral gardens and schools of tropical fish will leave you in awe. Whether you’re an experienced swimmer or a first-timer, our skilled in-water guides will ensure you feel confident and comfortable.

While you enjoy the reef, our spotter plane will be searching for the star of the show: the Whale Shark. Once spotted, it’s go time!

The Main Event: Swimming with Whale Sharks

The moment you’ve been waiting for has arrived. As the boat approaches the Whale Shark’s location, you’ll feel the anticipation building. With your snorkel gear on and your guide by your side, you’ll line up on the back deck, ready to jump in.

When the signal is given, you’ll step into the water and there it is – a Whale Shark gliding effortlessly through the deep blue. Measuring up to 18 metres, these gentle giants inspire awe and respect. Despite their size, their calm demeanour will immediately put you at ease.

Swimming alongside a Whale Shark is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Watch their distinctive spots shimmer in the sunlight, marvel at their powerful yet graceful tail, and soak in the surreal feeling of being so close to one of nature’s most magnificent creatures.

Relax, Recharge and Reflect

After your time with the Whale Sharks, it’s time to relax and refuel. Enjoy a delicious, fresh lunch on board, prepared to cater to all dietary requirements. As the day winds down, we’ll fit in one final snorkel at another stunning coral reef location within the lagoon – if you’ve still got the energy!

Finally, we’ll make our way back to the Tantabiddi Boat Ramp and return you to Exmouth with hearts full of adventure and memories you’ll never forget.
