Ningaloo Reef
Dazzling water, amazing marine life and untouched nature – Ningaloo Marine Park is a true natural wonder.
Covering 5,000 square kilometres around the North West Cape from Exmouth to Red Bluff, Ningaloo Reef is one of the largest fringing coral reefs in the world. It’s also one of the few places in the world where you can swim with the world’s biggest fish – the whale shark.
For divers and snorkellers, there are few experiences that can compare to swimming on Ningaloo Reef. And the best thing is, it’s just a short swim from the beach.
Coral Bay and Exmouth are blessed with warm weather all year round. A paradise for water-loving holiday-makers, both towns provide a haven of rest for those looking to unwind.
Take a tour into the exquisite underwater kingdom of the Ningaloo Reef – dolphins, dugongs, manta rays and turtles are in abundance.
Experience the thrill of swimming with a whale shark. Those who have taken the plunge with these gentle giants say it’s an awesome and humbling experience.
There are many whale watching opportunities, see humpback and southern rights cavorting in Exmouth Gulf with their calves or migrating along the coast.
Snorkelling and diving are superb throughout the year – one of the highlights being the Navy Pier dive. One of the country’s best dive centres sits right in the centre of Exmouth.
Or just wade into the ocean and see for yourself – the reef lies only a few metres from the beach, and Coral Bay is a safe swimming spot for children.
The weather is also perfect for fishing, swimming or simply basking in the golden sunshine.
